Editorial Guidelines

Our commitment to quality, accuracy, and human-tested AI prompts.

At PromptHub, our mission is to provide the highest-quality, most practical AI prompts and tools on the internet. Because AI models can hallucinate or produce generic output, a prompt directory is only as good as its editorial standards.

This page outlines how we source, test, review, and maintain every prompt and tool published on our platform.

1. Authorship & Accountability

Every prompt on PromptHub is manually tested and verified by our editorial team, led by our Founder, Muhammad Bilal Khan.

We do not use automated scraping tools to fill our database with thousands of untested prompts. We believe in quality over quantity. If a prompt is listed in our directory, it means a real human has used it to generate a successful output.

2. Our Testing Methodology

Before any prompt is approved for public use, it goes through a strict 3-step testing framework:

  • Model Verification: The prompt is tested on at least two frontier models (e.g., OpenAI's ChatGPT-4o and Anthropic's Claude 3.5 Sonnet) to ensure cross-compatibility.
  • Constraint Testing: We intentionally try to "break" the prompt by testing edge cases. If the prompt asks the AI to format output as JSON, we verify that it never breaks format.
  • Value Assessment: Does this prompt produce a significantly better result than just asking the AI a simple question? If the answer is no, the prompt is rejected.

3. Content Originality

We are strictly against publishing "thin" or "low-value" content. A prompt is not just a sentence; it is a piece of code written in natural language.

For every major prompt, we ensure there is sufficient context provided, including:

  • The intended use case and target audience.
  • Variable explanations (what the user needs to fill in).
  • Expected outputs and limitations.

4. Keeping Content Fresh

AI models evolve rapidly. A prompt that worked perfectly on GPT-3.5 might be obsolete on GPT-4.

Our editorial team conducts quarterly audits of our most popular prompts to ensure they still function perfectly with the latest model updates. Outdated prompts are either rewritten to match new AI capabilities or completely removed from the directory.

Corrections & Feedback

We value transparency. If you find a prompt that no longer works, or spot an error in our tools, we want to know.

Please contact our editorial team directly at support@prompthubhq.com, and we will review and update the content within 48 hours.
